Anthony Le, Jun 13, 2009, 3:06AM EDTI am joining the long list of friend requests and thank you too. Your article about algae backs is very intriguing. It is right along the lines of what I am interested in. Perhaps, in the future, we will be able to collaborate on a couple of joint articles? Meanwhile, I will enjoy reading your contributions.

David Evans , Apr 7, 2009, 12:28PM EDTSam,
I appreciate your visit, your thoughts, and your comments.
The Dan fellow left some comments that were truly not worthwhile which I removed.
I am not interested in stifling free speech. He, and similar commenters, stifle our free speech and freedom to process and converse ideas by his/their behavior.
I indicated I would let you all know.
This is what I left on his Ping thing:
re - motivations for 'denial' and delay: If you read my satement, I said "I think MUCH of it is related to religious..." Raising one example does not refute the value of my thought....
re - Chris's statements and frustration with you over gun control: your continued response on that is just a pathway to a continued unpleasant, uncivil exchanges leading into a pointless spiraling distraction. As to why I left Chirs's comments, as I had said, I relate to his frustration with you (including your endless distracting retorts). I left your initial comment about it. We know how your feel about it.
Re- ocean warming: this is a perfect example of what I am saying. Read more thoroughly the link you provided as well as the actual current science on subsurface level warming.
Freedom of speech does not mean freedom to endlessly annoy in social gatherings where more productive discussion is the goal.
And I strongly feel distraction is your goal.
I make these decisions as a matter of history-past experience...
Your positions and thoughts have been noted. Your desire to derail conversations is also noted.
Your further participation is not beneficial to further understanding for anyone, truly undecided or otherwise...
I will CC the others that were part of the conversation on that post to let them know of your concerns and my response.
Cheers,
DJE
I personally will not be paying attention to him anymore. My suggestion is that others do the same. In any other forum, that continued behavior would not be accepted. We are far beyond entertaining that behavior anymore. I say all this with the utmost respect.
Best Wishes,
Peace,
DJE -

Roy Shastid , Feb 24, 2009, 5:50PM ESTSam I did not know about the oxidation reaction. I learn a lot from thoughtful posts like this.I hope we find a way to let nature heal enough to get back to a sustainable homeostasis' if that is the proper word. Some would have us "manage the problem". I know an awfull lot of cautionary tales along that road.
